2026

WELCOME TO SPORT FOR JOVE 2026
FROM THE SFJ TEAM
All the world (and every classroom’s) a stage and thank you to every teacher and student out there who brings that stage to life. Theatre is for all of us!
It was a thrill to work with you in 2025 — time to cue the lights for our 2026 season! Ink, sweat, passion, mischief — and a bit of homework. Welcome to a new year of new stories, dancing alongside some deliriously wonderful old ones:
Our thrilling and very faithful new production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the ultimate first theatrical experience for young people.
The return of our dynamic and imaginative Macbeth, directed by SFJ Education Manager, George Banders, fresh from its 2025 tour.
The world-premiere of Prometheus, a new play commissioned by the NSW Dept of Education Drama team and written by SFJ Artistic Director Damien Ryan — a powerful and poetic study of the future of AI and its effect on the way we live and tell stories — and a chance for teachers and students to experience a professional production of the new work they will meet this year in their classrooms.
Our 17th Annual Summer Outdoor Season of The Comedy of Errors, the perfect play for a world trying to find its smile again, and bring communities back together.
And of course, our whole suite of excursionary and incursionary experiences for students and teachers in English, Drama and beyond.
We can’t wait to share with you in 2026, so come join the revels...
