In 2027, Sport for Jove is bringing back its much-loved World of Will workshop, the perfect introduction to Shakespeare, created especially for junior students.
School students are invited to step onto the York Theatre stage at Seymour Centre and immerse themselves in the world of William Shakespeare, guided by two experts from our resident company, Sport for Jove.
Designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and encourage collaboration, each session blends presentation with hands-on, on-stage workshop activities. The goal is to make Shakespeare fun, fear-free, and unforgettable, leaving students inspired and eager to learn more about history’s most prolific storyteller.
CURRICULUM LINKS
Stage 2 and 3 Creative Arts and English
Includes a 30-minute PowerPoint presentation introducing all things Shakespeare and a 60-minute Drama workshop with students on their feet working in the space on language, character, plot and storytelling. Teachers are welcome to take notes while observing the workshop.
