"You have a swimming carnival and an athletics carnival - let's have a SHAKESPEARE CARNIVAL!"
Sport for Jove Theatre is relaunching the Globe Shakespeare Festival as The Shakespeare Carnival, a new name for a new start and still a statewide opportunity for NSW high school students to tread the boards and creatively engage with Shakespeare's works on the stage.
Artistic, Academic and Personal Development
Your students can develop their own pieces in a range of categories and perform at School, Regional and State levels, gaining unparalleled insights into, and experience of, these great plays and developing skills and abilities that are artistic, academic and personal.
Your students can join fellow students in taking part in a statewide showcase and could win incredible prizes - mentoring by professional artists, weeklong internships in a professional rehearsal process and a grand prize of an acting role in the Sport for Jove acclaimed Summer Season.
Connects to many learning areas
The Shakespeare Carnival can support and extend students' work in English, Drama, Art, Music, Design, Dance and creatively connect to other syllabus areas.
