Nix is a self-described Shakespeare and Theatre nerd, and has been in and around the theatre industry for many years. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Performing Arts and Entertainment Industries at Macquarie University, and has completed a variety of courses with NIDA. She has worked as a graphic designer, marketing assistant, stage manager, actor, and musician, and was one of the original members of Sport for Jove’s Second Age Project – the youth theatre project which sparked her love of Shakespeare.
Her theatre credits include 'Exit, Pursued by a Bear', 'Will.I.Am', 'Willigans Island', 'Word Wrestling Entertainment', 'King Lear' (SFJ Second Age Project, Ensemble, 2013-17), 'RENT' (Ensemble, Blackout Theatre Company, 2016), 'Rose Riot' (Stage Management Intern, 2018/19), Romeo and Juliet (Stage Management Intern 2019/20), 'As Hamlet Likes It' (SFJ Second Age Project, Stage Manager, 2019), 'As You Like It' (Company/Stage Manager, Bar'd Work 2020) and ‘The Florist of Arden’ (SFJ Second Age Project, Stage Manager, 2020).
She was fortunate to be part of 2 student workshops at the Pop-up Globe in Sydney (2018), where she played the role of Lady Macbeth. She is also the founder/designer for Barrel o’ Bard, a Shakespeare themed Redbubble shop, which she hopes to expand in the future.
Nix is absolutely thrilled to be part of the Sport for Jove team.
