Megan Drury | Biography

Megan’s acting career spans theatre, film and television. Her stage credits include: MACBETH | JULIUS CAESAR | TWELFTH NIGHT | THE TEMPEST | A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Sport For Jove Theatre Co); RUBEN GUTHRIE (Belvoir St Theatre); SWALLOW (National Theatre of Parramatta - Best Ensemble nomination 2016 Sydney Theatre Awards); MACQUARIE (Parramatta Riverside Theatres); LOVE’S TRIUMPH (Darlinghurst Theatre); TATTOO (Griffin Independent); A PROPERTY OF THE CLAN (Don’t Look Away) and CLOSER (The Street Theatre, Canberra). Megan’s screen credits include: the feature films THE SCHOOL (Best Female Performance nomination 2019 OzFlix Independent Film Awards) and MANNY LEWIS; the television series’ FIGHTING SEASON | UNDERBELLY: THE GOLDEN MILE | PACKED TO THE RAFTERS | RESCUE SPECIAL OPS | COPS L.A.C. | ALL SAINTS | HIDING and HOME AND AWAY; numerous award-winning short films including COMFORTABLE | MATHILDA | ARE YOU AWAKE? and the ArtBank / ACMI commissioned film-art work THE BEEHIVE. Megan co-wrote and co-directed Sport For Jove’s 2nd Age Project THE PLAYOFFS and was movement director for Sport For Jove’s 3rd Age Progect KING LEAR. THE MERCHANT OF VENICE is Megan’s debut in a mainstage Directorial role.
