Sport for Jove Theatre provides a unique opportunity to invest in the future of the theatre industry through our development of new artists, new venues and new audiences. We are looking to expand our activities across every arm of our company and would love to talk to individuals and businesses about joining with us to promote a stronger Australian theatre sector.
Partnering with arts companies can be hugely rewarding for organisations of all sizes. Sport for Jove Theatre’s award winning activities provide a wide range of opportunities for businesses to access new markets and networks, while supporting highly regarded emerging and established artists. Our Outdoor Shakespeare Festival Season encompasses two high profile events in two distinct localities, presented with the support of three fundamental partners, The Hills Shire Council, The National Trust of Australia (NSW) and The NSW Government (Arts NSW). This unique combination of factors allows our corporate partners, through their support, to be part of genuinely local celebrations in focused markets that nevertheless cover a wide range of demographics.
Of course, the benefits that flow from a partnership with SfJ are not confined to our festival work. With the return of our critically acclaimed Hamlet to the Seymour Centre, and for the first time to Parramatta Riverside, along with the launch of our full education program, the breadth and reach of SfJ's work continues to grow. We are introducing students across the state to the joys of performance and have boundless aspirations to contribute to the growth of this nation's theatre appetite by sharing our passion and skill with as many students as possible.
Theatrical education is not just for students. SfJ employs a large number of highly experienced educators who can offer professional development at every level of an organisation. Depending on their level of interest, our partners can participate in workshops and lectures specifically tailored to their requirements in areas such as leadership, change management, public confidence and our speciality, interpersonal awareness, connectedness and sensitivity. We call it our EQ Academy and central to our mission is the belief in forging sustained and meaningful relationships with business people that go beyond the traditional one or half day workshop model.
A Partnership with Sport for Jove then is a unique opportunity to engage with the arts and their audiences, and in doing so contribute significantly to our cultural future.
Philanthropy and Personal Giving
Sport for Jove Theatre, as it is today, was made possible by the extraordinary vision and generosity of a single philanthropist. Like all small arts companies, we rely on support from individuals and foundations that believe in what we do and wish to see our work continue to thrive. Sport for Jove was founded with little more that ambition, commitment and self-belief. Those qualities still underpin our work and it is our hope to make an enduring contribution to the cultural and economic future of our partner communities, provide a bridge for new artists to make their mark and promote the highest standard of performance and education across all that we do. If you share this vision, we would love for you to join us.
