Raya Slavin | Biography

Raya Slavin is a Melbourne-based composer and sound designer working across multi disciplinary art practices and a resident artist with She Said Theatre. Raya graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a Bachelor of Production (Sound Design) and received the Cassidy Bequest Scholarship. Credits for She Said Theatre include the award winning Hart (Melbourne Fringe, The Blue Room Theatre), The Quiet Bite (Melbourne Fringe), Bock Kills Her Father (La Mama) and Laika and Wills (Melbourne Fringe). Other recent work includes F. (Riot Stage Youth Theatre/Poppy Seed Theatre Festival) Ryan (La Mama Courthouse) – for which Raya received a Green Room Award nomination, Myth Project – Twin (With Kelly Ryall, MTC Neon), Angry SEXX (Melbourne Fringe) and Savages (with Kelly Ryall).
