George Zhao | Biography

George Zhao is an award-winning actor working across film, TV and theatre. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Dramatic Art in 2013 he has performed in leading roles inMonkey Tales (Monkey Baa Theatre Company) and in the sold out season of The Screw Tape Letters (Twisted Tree Theatre Company), which toured nationally in 2016. He also performed in Opera Australia’s 2015 production of Aida.
 
This year, George won Best Guest Actor at the LA Web Film Festival for his role in the short film It Came from Outer Suburbia, and an MEAA Best Ensemble Cast for comedy for his ongoing role as Andrew Law in the hit SBS show The Family Law.
 
George works extensively in Commedia dell’Arte, specializing in physical theatre, puppetry and mask work. He is based in Sydney.
