Francesca Savige | Biography

Francesca trained in acting and directing at QUT, and furthered studies at RADA (UK), and Shakespeare & Company (US). She was a 2017 recipient of the Sandra Bates Directors Award, a 2015 Globe International Actors Fellow (Shakespeare’s Globe, London), and a 2010 Churchill Fellow to investigate Shakespeare & Community Theatre in South Africa.  DIRECTING. SFJ: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Othello Assistant Director, The Second Age Project (2013, 2014 & 2016) Co-writer/director; Ensemble: Wolf Lullaby Director, Taking Steps, Buyer and Cellar Assistant Director, Bell Shakespeare: Such Sweet Sorrow Director; QUT: Cymbeline Assistant Director. Ubom, South Africa: Romeo and Juliet co-director.

As an actor, Frankie has worked for Sport for Jove, Bell Shakespeare, Queensland Theatre Company, Griffin, Parramatta Riverside and Old Fitz, and on screen in Starting from Now, Home and Away, Packed to the Rafters. Frankie is a proud member of Equity.
